Adria Dental Group at the maxillofacial and oral surgery congress

From October 6th to 8th, the two societies of the Croatian Medical Association organized in Opatija the 15th Congress of the Croatian Society for Maxillofacial, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the Head and Neck and the 9th Congress of the Croatian Society for Oral Surgery with international participation.

The scientific committee compiled an extremely rich program with a focus on current issues and chose aesthetic surgery of the head and neck and reconstructive surgery of the alveolar ridge as the two main topics of the congress.

Chief Medical Officer, prof. Andrija Petar Bošnjak, Ph.D. presented the Adria Dental Group - the region's leading group in dental medicine, while to his colleagues from the professional and scientific community, prominent world experts and leading doctors in their fields were joined by experts from the Adria Dental Group as invited lecturers.

On the first day, Snježana Pohl, Ph.D. held an interesting lecture on recycling of extracted teeth with the lecture titled "Dentin autograft - extracted teeth are not biological waste" moderated by prof. Dragana Gabrić, Ph.D. and our assist. prof. Ivan Brakus, Ph.D. On the second day of the congress, prof. Andrija Petar Bošnjak, Ph.D. spoke about "Innovations in the chemical control of biofilm". On the last day of the congress, assist. prof. van Brakus, Ph.D. participated as a round table panelist on the topic "Reconstruction of the alveolar ridge", after which he and his colleagues held a poster presentation "Implantoprosthetic rehabilitation in extremely atrophic edentulous maxillary and mandibular alveolar ridges".

The national and international community of experts and leaders gathered at the congress of the Croatian Society for Maxillofacial, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the Head and Neck and the Croatian Society for Oral Surgery actively discussed, learned and participated in this congress, which further confirms its quality.

We are extremely glad that our experts, with their participation and lectures, contributed to the exchange of ideas, discussion and interaction, from which we all came out richer for many new facts, both in theory and in practice.
